Need to use your old OEM thermostat housing and cut out the old thermostat(2 small cuts). M60 housing will not fit to VANOS engine. Compatible with cars equipped with this design of thermostats. Second image -NON VANOS variant. The black connector is not temperature sensor.

This is preheating element connector and no needed after the conversion. This element is needed when operating on critical temp of coolant 108°C. No used when running cooler with the kit. You can keep connected or disconnected, no dash light. You can connect led load resistor to trick the ecu think the element still connected. Than diagnostic machine not find any error in this circuit.

The engine still run with O2 sensors referred mode, no MPG affected by fitting the kit. 75°C rated version available - running little cooler than 80°C rated one. NO knocking / fixing knocking and engine noise when warmed up. Extend lifetime of plastic parts / not cracking because of heat stress. Safer for overheating- not balancing on risky overheating point 108°C.
